🌟 Your future is waiting for you! – Where faith meets Instagram – Hey, are you in? 🚀
Hey, are you in? 🚀
You love working with young people and think that church is more than dusty traditions? You believe that Instagram Stories can be just as inspiring as a church service? Then you are exactly right with us! We are the Reformed Church Community Wallisellen – open-minded, ecumenical, and always ready for new paths. People of different cultures and faiths meet with us, and it is precisely this diversity that makes us strong. In youth work, we are constantly on the move, adapting our offerings to the needs and interests of young people, building relationships, supporting, offering fun, participation, and action. We are looking for someone between 25 and 30 years old who will advance our youth work with fresh wind and digital power.
What you can achieve with us...
50% pure youth power 💪 You develop new offerings for young people and young adults between 12 and 25 years old that really connect. You not only design cool events and deep conversations but also create real spaces for development. Your participatory project work gives young people a voice while you build trust through continuous relationship work and offer practical everyday support. In addition, you also teach religious education for grades 6 to 9 – but don’t worry, with us it’s about real life questions, searching for meaning, and what really concerns young people. You network with schools and other institutions and carry the voice of young people into political discussions.
30% Social Media Magic 📱✨ Instagram, TikTok, YouTube – you know where young people move and make our church visible there. You develop a contemporary online strategy that is authentic and approachable. Your stories become little stories of hope, your reels become encouragers in everyday life. You build real online communities where young people feel welcome and understood. You document our diverse youth work for digital channels and show how lively and colorful church can be today. It is important to us: You always work respectfully with images and videos of young people and are familiar with data protection.
20% Organization and Networking 📋 The framework that holds everything together: planning, documentation, team meetings. But sustainable networking with other church and secular organizations also belongs to it. You work community-oriented and bring fresh ideas into the further development of our offerings.
You fit with us if you...
want to enrich the lives of young people with a lot of passion. You have training in the social diaconal field (HF/FH), social work, or social pedagogy – or a comparable qualification that equips you for this versatile task. Even more important to us is your passion: You are passionate about working with young people and have already gained experience, whether in youth groups, camps, clubs, or other youth projects. You live your faith authentically without developing missionary zeal. With us, there is room for doubts, questions, and different paths of faith – also for those of the young people you accompany. You are a member of the Reformed State Church or willing to become one and support our open-minded, ecumenical attitude. Your pronounced desire to shape things combines with your broad methodological competence. Especially in project and participation work, you use your skills in a solution-oriented way. You can build a good connection to people openly and appreciatively – regardless of their cultural or religious background.
Social media is more than just a pastime for you. You understand how to create content that resonates and know how real online communities arise. You think in hashtags but never forget the person behind them. Organizational skills and an independent, reliable way of working are among your strengths. You handle PCs and digital media confidently and also like to get involved practically. You are excited about a committed, cheerful team and are yourself a team player. Flexibility is not a foreign word to you – you like to adapt to new situations and see evening and weekend assignments as part of the adventure, not as a burden.
By the way: «We are currently in an exciting merger process with the communities of Opfikon and Kloten – together we want to become even more diverse, learn from each other, and strengthen each other. This makes us even more attractive as an employer and offers you the chance to be part of a future-oriented development!»
We convince you with...
A responsible, versatile, and interesting activity where you can really make a difference. You work in an open-minded community that not only preaches ecumenism but lives it daily. People from the most diverse backgrounds meet with us, and it is precisely this diversity that enriches our work.
You get creative freedom for your craziest ideas and work with a team that supports you and also laughs heartily with you sometimes. Modern equipment for your digital work is a matter of course, as are further training opportunities that really advance you.
Our flexible working model adapts to the needs of youth work – sometimes there is more going on, sometimes less. The contemporary employment conditions are based on the guidelines of the Reformed State Church, including 5 weeks of vacation and all the benefits of a secure employment.
