Our renowned company in the field of materials technology is looking for an ambitious, experienced, and practically oriented engineer to strengthen our team. Become the driving force behind the operational management of our business area and contribute significantly to the development of innovative material solutions and ensuring material safety in customer projects. To strengthen our "Materials Technology" team in the Material Technology department of the Swiss Safety Center at the Wallisellen location, we are looking for a Materials Engineer 80-100% to start immediately.
Your tasks
- Support customers from various industrial sectors, from mechanical engineering to medical technology, aerospace
- Work preparation for materials testing (offer creation using SAP, internal coordination of orders)
- Conduct damage analyses on components and materials, especially in the field of metallic materials
- Preparation of damage reports with well-founded recommendations for damage prevention
- Perform destructive and non-destructive tests as well as microanalytical examinations
- Collaboration with other departments to optimize manufacturing processes and quality control with regard to material safety
- Consulting customers on materials science issues, material safety, and prevention
Your profile
- Completed university of applied sciences degree in materials engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or comparable qualification
- Experience in conducting damage analyses and knowledge in handling testing devices and procedures, especially in materials technology
- Solid knowledge in microstructural analysis of materials and interpretation of damage patterns
- Good understanding of metallic materials and their properties as well as material safety
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to continue education and apply new analysis methods
