Job Description
To support our growing activities in St. Moritz, we are looking for a Client Service Officer who will provide high-quality administrative and client service support to our Client Relationship Officers (CROs), while also contributing to the smooth running of our front office reception and cashier operations.
This role is ideal for a service-oriented, hands-on professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, international private banking environment and who is motivated to take ownership, act proactively and deliver an outstanding client experience.
Main Responsibilities
1. Client and CRO Support
Support clients and CROs in their daily business activities.
Maintain active client contact in written and spoken German and English.
Provide top-quality service to clients through regular and prompt contact by phone and email.
Execute client account openings, closures and updates, including:
Conducting internet searches and basic due diligence checks.
Collecting and verifying corroborative documentation.
Prepare and follow up on client visits, including:
Preparing account documentation and reviewing documents.
Organising account statements and other supporting material.
Execute and control client instructions, such as:
Stock market transactions.
Payments and transfers.
Foreign currency trades.
Perform various administrative and organisational tasks, including:
Client reviews and periodic checks.
Follow-up on missing or pending documents.
Delivery and monitoring of hold mail.
Prepare marketing and client materials, such as:
Presentations and pitchbooks.
Investment proposals & portfolio reviews.
Actively promote paperless accounts and e-banking usage to clients.
Ensure full compliance with the Code of Conduct and all internal regulations (e.g. Cross Border, AML, Clear & Clean Desk Policy, Absence Management).
2. Reception and Front Office Support
Welcome and assist clients upon arrival, ensuring a professional and warm first impression.
Manage reception duties, including:
Answering and directing phone calls.
Handling appointments and coordinating meeting room bookings.
Prepare and serve beverages to clients and ensure a high standard of hospitality.
Ensure meeting rooms and client areas are tidy, well-presented and adequately equipped at all times.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, ensuring timely distribution and proper documentation.
3. Cashier and Branch Support
Support daily cashier operations, including:
Processing client deposits and withdrawals.
Handling basic cash and payment transactions in line with internal guidelines.
Collaborate closely with CROs and other team members to ensure smooth branch operations.
Support marketing and client events, including preparation, logistics and on-site assistance.
Skills and experience
Education and Professional Background
Commercial apprenticeship in a bank or similar banking-related education.
Further education in the financial sector is an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a private banking or intermediary environment.
Skills
Good understanding of financial instruments, including:
Equities, bonds, structured products and derivatives.
Solid knowledge of Compliance and AML topics relevant to private banking.
Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Familiarity with banking systems and front-office tools is an asset.
Strong client service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
High level of reliability, discretion and integrity.
Ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to working hours when required.
Comfortable working in a small branch environment, taking on a broad range of tasks (from client administration to reception and cashier support).
Proficient in written and spoken German and English (essential).
Italian is a strong plus; any additional languages are an advantage.
