Job Description
Your Team and Your Mission
As the deputy to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you share responsibility for accounting and ensure together with the team that our financial processes function reliably, transparently, and with a future orientation. You work closely with all members of the accounting team and take on deputy tasks in case of absences.
In close collaboration with the CFO and the departments of Tax, Projects, Controlling, and HR, you contribute to the high quality of our financial statements and support the further development of our accounting processes. At the same time, you participate in the digitalization of the finance area and integrate modern technologies – including AI – into our processes.
Your contribution: a powerful, efficient, and future-proof accounting function that acts as a reliable partner for management and the entire group.
Your Tasks
- Deputy overall responsibility for monthly and annual financial statements of the company and its national and international subsidiaries (Swiss Code of Obligations, ideally Swiss GAAP FER), including preparation of annual financial statements for the auditors
- Ensuring an efficient and high-quality closing process as well as analysis and preparation of accounting data for CFO, Controlling, and HR
- Professional processing of complex business transactions (e.g., M&A, capital increases, mergers, stock transactions, etc.)
- Responsibility for reporting packages to the group, quality assurance for consolidation, and implementation of group accounting policies
- Collaboration with Lead Tax Accounting and Projects
- Consideration of governance topics in accounting, especially the internal control system (ICS), accounting policies, and accounting memos
- Control and approval of payment runs as well as support in liquidity control and planning
- Further development of accounting systems and processes, implementation of projects from the CFO roadmap, as well as digitalization and integration of AI solutions
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Higher education in finance and accounting, e.g., expert in accounting & controlling, certified auditor, university of applied sciences/university or equivalent
- Several years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment
- Very solid knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations, ideally also Swiss GAAP FER
- Experience handling complex transactions, e.g., M&A, capital transactions, mergers, stock transactions
- High reliability in closing and processes as well as a pronounced quality awareness
- Solid experience with the ERP system ABACUS and interest in digitalization and AI in finance
- Structured and team-oriented working style combined with high initiative and sense of responsibility
- Strong communication skills in German and English; French skills are a plus
