Job Description

As a Chambermaid, you play a key role in creating a spotless and welcoming environment. Your mission is to ensure the cleanliness and impeccable presentation of the rooms, thus contributing to providing our clients with a setting of exceptional luxury and comfort.

With a keen eye for detail and great rigor, you add the finishing touch to the rooms, ensuring that each space is not only clean but also a true haven of peace for our guests.

Summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the Floor Housekeeper, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Consistently provide a professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Clean all assigned rooms, including dusting, making beds, removing dirty linen from rooms and collecting clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the inside of windows, restocking rooms
• Review the schedule and instructions from the Housekeeper at the Housekeepers’ office
• Maintain proper use of cleaning products and equipment
• Update and record the list of all clean rooms
• Return and properly label all lost and found items in the housekeeping office
• Learn and apply LQA technical and emotional standards
• Commit to the quality of service, discretion, and perfect honesty
• Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
• Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary regulations
• Comply with department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
• Perform any other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
• Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
• Good knowledge of the French language
• Knowledge of English is an asset
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
• Particularly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to focus on guests’ needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical requirements of the position: 

The physical requirements of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
• Frequent: lifting and carrying loads
• Frequent: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional: climbing up or down ladders, stairs, and ramps

To be able to work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
