At the Jeremias Gotthelf Research Center, Department of Commentary on Church Writings and Sermons, a scientific staff member position is to be filled as of August 1, 2026. Depending on the level of education, the position can also be converted into a doctoral position with a dissertation "Sermons of Jeremias Gotthelf" (optionally Theology or German Studies).
Tasks
Your main tasks include commenting on the sermons of Albert Bitzius (Jeremias Gotthelf) already edited in the historical-critical complete edition.
Requirements
- PhD, but at least a Master's degree (at least a minor in Protestant Theology)
- Experience in the field of editing and/or archives
- Interest in participating in an interdisciplinary long-term editorial project between textual scholarship, German studies, historical sciences, and theology
