Medical Secretary for the Pediatric Oncology-Hematology Unit
The Women-Mother-Child Department of the Lausanne University Hospital is looking for a medical secretary with a workload between 80% and 100% to strengthen the team of the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Unit. The starting date is scheduled for April 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Within the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME), the Pediatrics Service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years, in connection with the neonatology, pediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics services.
Mission
- You are responsible for the production and flow of medical documents and information internally and externally
- You are responsible for billing medical reports according to TARDOC rules
- You handle AI and insurance requests
- You efficiently organize the unit's consultation
- You ensure quick telephone accessibility and manage communications (emails, calls)
- You follow up on patient care requests in collaboration with nursing and medical staff
- You manage patient files, including preparing files and monitoring discharge letter deadlines
- You actively contribute to the quality, development, and improvement of the unit's services.
Profile
- You hold a medical secretary training and/or a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification
- You have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written, with impeccable spelling
- You have professional experience in a hospital environment and master medical terminology
- You are a rigorous, organized person capable of managing priorities
- You are flexible, attentive, discreet, autonomous, and have a spirit of mutual aid
- You demonstrate good stress resistance
- You master common computer tools.
