University Intern for Basic Work in Social Policy 80-100% (m/f/d)
The Basic and Policy department is committed to analyses and political statements in the fields of social, migration, and development policy, with a special focus on the impact on the most vulnerable in society. It addresses socio-political issues connected to the operational work and political engagement of Caritas Switzerland.
Your tasks
- Basic work and research on poverty in Switzerland with a focus on poverty among employed persons
- Writing texts on current poverty policy topics (e.g., arguments, factsheets, website texts)
- Participation in external conferences and contacts with partner organizations
- Political monitoring
- Supportive work for the Social Policy specialist unit and the Basic and Policy department
Our requirements
- Recently completed university degree in social, economic, or humanities sciences (preferably Master)
- Strong interest in current social policy issues
- Experience in research and conceptual work
- Familiarity with statistical analyses (interpretation)
- Skillfulness in writing texts for a broad audience
- German-speaking, with good French skills
- Ability to work very independently
Workplace: Lucerne, the position is limited until 31.08.2026 or by agreement
Start of work: 01.02.2026 or by agreement
