About the job
To care for and support adults on the autism spectrum with intensive support needs, we can offer a 70% position as a Social Pedagogue FH from August 2026 or by arrangement.
Four residents, ranging from very young to middle adulthood, manage their daily lives with intense challenges that come with living with pronounced autism and additional cognitive impairment. They offer you the chance to build trust in yourself and the environment and to discover your self-efficacy in a fulfilling way.
Together with two other colleagues per day, you accompany them – from support with self-care, through kitchen, household to work in the garden and workshop. You work a lot in individually accompanied, methodically structured situations. The TEACCH approach forms the methodological orientation.
The team shares the team leadership responsibility as a self-managing team. Together with five other shared apartments, your group forms a small neighborhood settlement on the edge of the village of Mettleneggen near 3665 Wattenwil.
We offer:
- An exciting and versatile job with plenty of opportunities for co-creation
- Intensive support moments and various retreat options for breaks so that you can recharge even in stressful moments
- Great, humorous, and committed team colleagues
- Careful onboarding
- Coordinated times for intensive individual support of the residents
- Internal training with a focus on ASD
- Free parking spaces
- Salary and social benefits according to cantonal guidelines
- Work in a committed, qualified, and mindful team
- Monthly team retreats with internal professional consultation
- Full (undivided) day shifts without night shifts
We expect:
- Training as a social pedagogue or equivalent qualification
- Enjoyment of open and constructive collaboration
- Willingness for specific educational engagement
- Knowledge in kitchen, household, and environmental work
- Willingness for irregular working hours including evening and weekend shifts
- Driver's license, category B desired
