Assistant for the telephone reception center within CIT-S
To complete its team, the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Security (CIT-S) of the CHUV is looking for an assistant for the Telephone Reception Center (CAT), at an 80% activity rate, for a start date on April 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
This position offers you a key role in the operational management of the telephone reception of a reference university hospital.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Security (CIT-S) ensures the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting for a large real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings.
Its three main missions are:
- the construction and modernization of infrastructures,
- the operation and maintenance of technical and biomedical equipment,
- the protection and security of property and people.
Open 7 days a week, the Telephone Reception Center (CAT) plays an essential role in welcoming, directing, and handling internal and external telephone calls of the institution.
Mission
- You ensure the replacement of the head of the Telephone Reception Center (CAT)
- You coordinate staff planning, process operations, and the activity of the CAT business responders
- You participate in projects related to your area of expertise
- You maintain the quality and efficiency of the telephone reception
- You ensure the creation, updating, and monitoring of documentation
- You perform administrative tasks related to the unit's activity
- You are the document management system referent
- You guarantee the updating of search and mobilization tools, including the telephone directory and the crisis alarm platform
- You can, as a replacement, perform the function of teleoperator.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent recognized qualification
- You have professional experience in a similar position, ideally in the medical or hospital field, with team management experience
- You are dynamic, comfortable in contacts, and have a strong sense of welcome and service
- You demonstrate autonomy, discretion, and excellent priority management
- You know how to stay calm and take a step back in complex situations
- You have perfect command of the French language; knowledge of a second language is an asset
- You master common IT and office tools
- You know medical terms and institutional applications
- You may be required, as a replacement, to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- You are capable of handling psychologically delicate situations related to the hospital environment.
