The SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS are an independent public-law institution of the canton of Schaffhausen. More than 450 children and young people with physical and/or cognitive impairments, with speech, hearing or other profound developmental disabilities are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at three locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy offers, we run a school-complementary area with lunch, day structure and boarding school. Over 550 employees are committed in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS. For the 2025/26 school year, we are looking for an assistant for special education children for our integrative special education, workload up to 35% possible, mainly morning shifts for the accompaniment and support of one or more students in their classes in the regular schools of the canton of Schaffhausen. Area of responsibility:
  • Accompanying and supporting special education children in class
  • Implementation of specific tasks for and with the special education child
  • Constructive cooperation with the school special education teacher, class teacher and
school management on site

  • Completed vocational training (professional experience with children desired)
  • Sense of responsibility, resilience and independence
