Together uniquely on the way
We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit objective. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood. We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public regular schools and special elementary schools, as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the support and accompaniment of young people with visual impairments, blindness, multiple disabilities, or from the autism spectrum.

Tasks
This is what you can achieve with us:
The seven children in the class are blind, visually impaired, or on the autism spectrum. In addition, individual students are taught in a 1:1 setting. You plan age-appropriate lessons according to Curriculum 21 and carry them out together with the team. You are responsible for the following subjects: NMG, Mathematics, German, Sports, and Swimming. Individual educational and support plans serve as the basis for your teaching.
Working days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Requirements
What you bring with you:
You hold an EDK-recognized diploma in school special education, a primary teaching certificate, or are studying for a Bachelor in Primary Education or a Master in School Special Education. Ideally, you already have experience teaching blind or visually impaired children. You approach challenges, such as those arising from students on the autism spectrum (AS) and visual impairments, with the necessary professionalism and calm. You enjoy working with a committed team and contributing to a trusting and supportive atmosphere.
