Do you want to gain insight into the daily life of a scientific professional and contribute to the research of mental illnesses in children and adolescents? Then you are exactly right with us!
We from the Research Department of the University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy are looking for an intern to collaborate on the research project MERIT (Monitoring Early Response of Inpatient Treatment). In MERIT, we investigate early markers for nonresponse in inpatient psychiatric treatment of adolescents. In addition, we want to find out whether continuous feedback on the therapy progress to therapists contributes to improving treatment success.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary, motivated research team and gain practical insights into current clinical research. You will learn various research methods – including diagnostic interviews, Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA), electrocardiography (ECG), actigraphy. Furthermore, there is the possibility to write a master’s thesis as part of the internship. The internship is unpaid.
Your tasks
- You assist in recruiting study participants
- You are responsible for supporting and motivating participants during the daily and weekly monitoring
- You take over the preprocessing of ECG and actigraphy data
- You regularly participate in project meetings
Your profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in psychology
- You are interested in learning more about mental illnesses in adolescence and their treatment options
- You enjoy being part of an interdisciplinary team and communicating with patients and their parents
- You bring a high level of curiosity, commitment, meticulousness, and flexibility
- You have excellent German language skills
