Medical secretary for the Neurology Department of the DNC
The secretariat of the Neurology Department, attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, is looking for a medical secretary at 80% for a fixed term from July 27 to December 31, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences brings together the Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation, the Leenaards Memory Center, the Neuroscience Research Center, as well as the Spinal Surgery Department. It cares for patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from the brain to the muscle.
The Neurology Department, led by Prof. Renaud du Pasquier, cares for patients suffering from disorders of the central or peripheral nervous system.
It treats multiple pathologies such as strokes, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, headaches, brain tumors, diseases affecting intellectual functions, and genetic diseases.
Mission
- You rigorously and kindly ensure the administrative follow-up of patient files
- You handle administrative tasks related to the care of hospitalized patients, working closely with assistant physicians (MA) and chief physicians (CDC)
- You promote intra-sector collaboration to ensure smooth and efficient coordination within the department
- You contribute to the daily administrative follow-up, ensuring the smooth operation of the secretariat and the quality of patient reception.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee and ideally a medical secretary diploma
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
- You master French, fast typing, dictation, and basic office tools (Microsoft Office suite). Knowledge of CHUV-specific tools is an asset
- You are organized, rigorous, and appreciate teamwork.
