Associate psychologist, endocrinology, diabetology and pediatric obesity
To complete its outpatient unit for endocrinology, diabetology and pediatric obesity, the Women–Mother–Child Department (DFME) of the CHUV is looking for an associate psychologist at a 40% activity rate.
The starting date is scheduled for February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of care, medical research and training.
Within the Women–Mother–Child Department (DFME), the Pediatrics Service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years old, in close connection with other department services (neonatology, pediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, gynecology and obstetrics).
The endocrinology, diabetology and pediatric obesity unit follows patients with hormonal or metabolic disorders, including rare endocrinological diseases, from early childhood to adulthood, especially during the transition to adult care. The central objective is to support patients in their empowerment through therapeutic education.
Mission
- You provide individual psychological care for children and adolescents with excess weight, exploring psychological, behavioral, social and family dimensions
- You develop and lead therapeutic groups for children, adolescents and their parents
- You participate in external professional networks as well as team meetings
- You provide specific training to health professionals on the issue of obesity
- You contribute to research projects conducted by the unit
- You supervise trainee assistant psychologists within the obesity unit.
Profile
- You hold a psychologist degree, with recognized psychotherapy training according to FSP requirements in cognitive-behavioral therapy; systemic training is an asset
- You have significant clinical experience, ideally in child psychiatry or in an institution caring for children/adolescents
- You possess solid knowledge in child and adolescent development as well as in the management of childhood and adolescent obesity.
