the ABX Workshops and A2Mains Pathways
A teacher
Activity rate: 80%
Located on three distinct sites, spread between Vernier, Châtelaine, and Thônex, the ABX Workshops and A2Mains Pathways are part of the ASTURAL Association. They welcome adolescents aged 14 to 18 who are facing significant social, family, and school difficulties. The educational and pedagogical support is inspired by a systemic approach and active pedagogies.
These structures offer a recognized pre-qualifying training FO18 with adapted schooling.
The support aims to assist adolescents in integration and the construction of a training project. The training program proposes a curriculum that aims for personal remobilization through an experiential approach and individualized support.
- The ABX Workshops, a social enterprise of Astural (active in carpentry, joinery, and metal construction), offer immersion in a professional environment, school remediation, and support for professional orientation allowing integration into a qualifying training. The ABX Workshops are spread over three sites (Châtelaine and Blandonnet) and can accommodate 20 young people aged 15 to 18.
- The A2Mains Pathways, a program of Astural, are organized into two non-mixed pathways. They offer services in workshops (various workshops using different media), nature immersion experiences (three major treks per school year), internships in companies, school remediation, and professional orientation. The A2Mains Pathways are located on two sites: in Vernier (A2M-Boys) and in Thônex (A2-MainsGirls) and can accommodate a total of 16 young people aged 14 to 18.
