For our finance team, we are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to strengthen our team at Trek in Dübendorf, Switzerland.
Financial Accountant (m/f/d)
Main Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the monthly and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER (OR), including all related processes and deliverables
- Maintenance of the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and asset accounting
- Execution of account reconciliations, provisions, and accruals
- Support of internal and external audits and collaboration with auditors
- Preparation and review of Swiss VAT returns as well as ensuring tax compliance
- Analysis of financial data and preparation of management reports
- Proactive identification of improvement opportunities, optimization of accounting processes and internal controls, and support of digitalization initiatives
Your Profile:
- Completed commercial training with further education in accounting/finance (e.g., Swiss federal diploma in finance and accounting or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience as a senior accountant or in a similar role
- Proven experience in independently performing complete financial statements
- Solid knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations (OR); knowledge of Swiss VAT law is an advantage
- Confident handling of ERP systems
- Structured, analytical, and independent working style combined with ownership mentality and sense of responsibility
- High level of accuracy, reliability, and sense of responsibility
- Fluent German skills; business fluent English
