Job Description

Trek Bicycle is a globally leading manufacturer of innovative bicycles and bicycle accessories. For our finance team, we are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to strengthen our team at Trek in Dübendorf, Switzerland.

Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Main Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for the monthly and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER (OR), including all related processes and deliverables
• Maintenance of the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and asset accounting
• Execution of account reconciliations, provisions, and accruals
• Support of internal and external audits and collaboration with auditors
• Preparation and review of Swiss VAT returns as well as ensuring tax compliance
• Analysis of financial data and preparation of management reports
• Proactive identification of improvement opportunities, optimization of accounting processes and internal controls, and support of digitalization initiatives

Your Profile:

• Completed commercial training with further education in accounting/finance (e.g., Swiss federal diploma in finance and accounting or equivalent)
• Several years of professional experience as a senior accountant or in a similar role
• Proven experience in independently performing complete financial statements
• Solid knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations (OR); knowledge of Swiss VAT law is an advantage
• Confident handling of ERP systems
• Structured, analytical, and independent working style combined with ownership mentality and sense of responsibility
• High level of accuracy, reliability, and sense of responsibility
• Fluent German skills; business fluent English
