About the job
The servicedesk is the main contact point for all employees of the Bern Cantonal Police and other organizations (e.g. Bern Protection and Rescue). Providing support for operational questions and ensuring professional management of incidents and problems, the servicedesk is the central interface between technology, specialized areas, partners, and end users. You will take on varied tasks involving responsibilities that directly add value to daily work.
Your tasks
- Telephone advice and assistance to users, using remote maintenance software, for all matters concerning IT systems (M365, police-specific applications, and other software)
- Reception, analysis, and processing of requests, fault reports, and problems within 1st level support (PLUS), including ticket management
- Independent solution research, qualified error analysis, and forwarding of complex problems to specialized downstream services
- Technical support and training of IT apprentices with a Federal VET Diploma (platform development orientation) as a practical trainer
- Collaborate on projects and perform on-call services
Your profile
- Basic commercial or technical training with continuing education in the IT field (e.g. ICT assistant SIZ)
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL, network technologies, and M365 and ideally experience in IT support
- Quick comprehension and precise, independent, and fast working method
- Service-oriented personality, resilient and able to work in a team, with a confident attitude even in stressful situations
- Very good spoken and written German skills, spoken French knowledge
- Availability to perform interventions outside usual working hours (7×24h) and category B driving license
