• be jointly responsible for the implementation and monitoring of regulatory requirements within the bank
• answer general legal questions as well as analyze and handle escalations of compliance-relevant questions and cases
• analyze and assess cases from transaction monitoring and business relationships with increased risks (TmeR & GmeR) and, if necessary, report to the authorities
• be one of the contact persons for the operational implementation of compliance matters and support front-line employees in enforcing and monitoring compliance instructions
• process and respond to inquiries from public prosecutors, supervisory authorities, banking ombudsman, etc.
• participate in the enforcement of economic sanctions
• conduct internal specialist training
• lead smaller projects or represent the compliance area in internal bank projects
• contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and to increasing effectiveness and efficiency
• represent Valiant in external expert committees

• a university degree in law, compliance, finance, business administration or a related field (preferably Swiss university or university of applied sciences)
• several years of professional experience in the field of compliance, ideally in the area of money laundering
• an independent, responsible, precise and structured way of working
• analytical skills, a quick grasp and didactic skills
• a confident personality with assertiveness and fluent, target-group appropriate communication
• the ability to react appropriately, professionally and solution-oriented in challenging situations
• native German speaker with good French skills or vice versa
