Occupational Therapist at the Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service North
The Management of the Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service North (SPPAN) of the CHUV is looking for an occupational therapist at a 70% activity rate to strengthen its team. The starting date is scheduled for December 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service North (SPPAN) is one of the clinical services of the Department of Psychiatry. It provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary care to anyone suffering from mental disorders and residing in northern Vaud. Furthermore, the SPPAN service works closely with other department services and strives to offer quality and excellence in its services.
The service teams work in a multidisciplinary manner to promote comprehensive care. The units are thus composed of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, etc.
The service aims to maintain and strengthen proximity psychiatry effectively integrated into regional networks. In this sense, it strives to consolidate links with partners in the northern and western regions and to ensure representation of adult psychiatry in the regional fabric to improve its visibility and better define the population's mental health needs.
The role and integration of relatives are particularly valued and encouraged.
Mission
- You are responsible for contributing to care, training, and research, in accordance with the CHUV's triple mission
- You ensure high-quality occupational therapy services for patients in an acute psychiatric care context
- You actively contribute to the quality and safety of services, in a process of harmonization, development, and promotion of professional practices
- You are responsible for working in a team and ensuring collegial collaboration, both intra- and interprofessional.
Profile
- You hold a HES occupational therapist diploma (bachelor level) or an equivalent qualification, as well as recognition from the Swiss Red Cross for personnel qualified abroad, which is mandatory
- You have experience in psychiatry, an asset
- You have several years of care experience, a plus
- You have a sense of autonomy and responsibility and good skills in negotiation, teamwork, and interdisciplinary communication
- You are interested in the continuous development of care quality in an environment dedicated to missions other than health.
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be level 8 or 9.
