Caregivers for Family Relief

The Baselland Red Cross is committed to supporting people in need with a variety of services. Around 130 employees and more than 500 volunteers help in emergency situations, engage in further education, health promotion, and integration of the population in the Basel region.

We are currently looking for immediate or agreed upon start:

- on-call hourly wage -

Do you enjoy and have experience working with families and children? Are you ready for short-term assignments or those lasting several hours to whole days? Are you flexible with your time and spontaneously available? Then we look forward to your application.

Your tasks

• You care for children when a parent is unavailable.
• You care for and look after sick children when the parents are working.
• You care for and look after children with disabilities to relieve the parents.
• You support families in crisis situations with caregiving work.

Our expectations

• You have family experience (with your own or other children).
• You respect different values and are discreet.
• You understand and speak German well (knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage).
• You are flexible with your time (availability at least 3 days a week) and enjoy working on call.

Since these are irregular on-call assignments, we cannot guarantee a fixed monthly income.
