Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of children's interests.
To fulfill its mission, the FOJ manages more than 40 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva and has over 500 places for minors and young adults, offering an educational outreach service at the families' homes. The FOJ is composed of 600 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a graduated educator for its Chalet Savigny home, a medium- to long-term boarding school that welcomes children aged 2 to 12 years. This person will specifically work with the group of children aged 7 to 12 years.
Job Description
Motivation to work with children within a defined institutional project, as part of an educational team of 6 people.
Ability to position oneself in front of minors presenting difficulties in emotional regulation and other particularities in psycho-affective development.
Support for parenting.
Close collaboration with placement services and families.
Irregular working hours, including night and weekend work.
Start date: October 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon
Activity rate: 80%
Contract type: Permanent
Team: children aged 7 to 12 years
Class: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
- - Bachelor profile in social work - University of Applied Sciences (HETS)
- Graduated social educator profile - Higher School (ES)
- Bachelor's degree profile - FAPSE degree with one year of full-time professional practice in a boarding school or IGE
- Foreign diplomas: SEFRI recognition or equivalent
- CAS PF an asset
- Prior experience in the field is an asset
- Excellent knowledge of child development
- Be motivated to support children and their parents in complex situations
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to various populations
- Ability to work independently and possess team spirit and initiative
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social network
- Good writing skills in French.
