Shape the social policy of the city of Lucerne with your strategic foresight!

• You lead the Social Services department. Your 160 employees support people in need with financial aid as well as diverse counseling and support services for social and professional integration. Your department also includes the adult protection area, which manages guardianships on behalf of the KESB.
• You are responsible for the personnel, professional, and financial management of Social Services and bear overall responsibility for fulfilling the political mandate.
• Together with your area managers, you continuously develop the department with its diverse services.
• As a member of the management of the Social and Security Directorate, you advise the responsible city councilor on the strategic and conceptual development of the social policy of the city of Lucerne.
• You participate in municipal, regional, cantonal, and national projects and committees or organizations.

• You have a university degree or a comparable qualification, supplemented by leadership or management training.
• You know the basics and mechanisms of the Swiss social system.
• You lead inspiringly, empathetically, and across multiple levels. Leadership means empowering people to you. You have already proven this in public administration.
• You enjoy shaping, modernizing processes, and actively driving digital and organizational innovations forward.
• You think strategically, make decisions with conviction, and implement them with clarity and assertiveness – always aiming to find sustainable solutions through dialogue.
• You move confidently in the political environment and understand how municipal and cantonal decision-making processes work.
