Office for Migration and Civil Law / 80-100% / Workplace Chur
The Office for Migration and Civil Law currently has 230 employees at over 20 locations and is responsible for the entire range of tasks in the field of migration, i.e., in particular the issuance and withdrawal of permits, accommodation and care, enforcement of expulsions, as well as integration. In addition, identity cards for Swiss nationals are issued, naturalizations are carried out, and supervision of civil status authorities is exercised. The headquarters of the Office for Migration and Civil Law is in Chur.
We are looking for a clerk for the Office for Migration and Civil Law to start immediately or by arrangement.
- Handling and monitoring of asylum applications assigned to the canton in procedural and especially enforcement law aspects
- Organization of voluntary departures and forced returns
- Contact with foreign persons as well as internal cantonal partner organizations and federal authorities
- Implementation of organizational measures
- Conducting interviews and recording minutes
- Preparation of reports, statements, and orders
- Handling general correspondence and various administrative tasks
- Commercial or equivalent professional training
- Several years of professional experience and experience in handling legal issues
- Independence, personal responsibility, and decisiveness
- Teamwork skills, careful and precise work
- Quick comprehension and networked thinking
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Flexibility and an efficient and goal-oriented working style
- Exceptional assertiveness and high resilience
- Empathy in dealing with different cultures and life stories
- Foreign language skills and a car driver's license are an advantage
- Willingness to perform on-call duty outside of business hours
