2 - 3 instructors for vocational knowledge classes (cleaning/building maintenance) in facility management for 20 - 50% eachAbout 2500 apprentices from technical and craft professions such as automotive, construction, electrical, wood, gardening, and facility management learn with us how to tackle, build, repair, and design. We accompany them on their path to their professional future. Many of our classes are strongly male-dominated, while young people from a wide variety of companies and industries meet. Our school is characterized by short distances, open doors, and room for new ideas.
Starting in the 2026/27 school year, we are looking for committed teachers for vocational knowledge classes with a teaching load between 5 - 13 lessons.
Your tasks
You will accompany our apprentices in their training to become specialists in facility management in the various areas of professional knowledge. This includes, among other things, cleaning, maintenance and servicing, as well as preparing and completing facility management tasks. You take responsibility for promoting professional skills as well as personal development. As an instructor, you engage with the team, contribute to teaching development, and actively shape the school culture of GBW.
Your profile
You are a professionally experienced individual with a professional qualification as a certified janitor, facility management manager, certified caretaker, or with a comparable qualification in this professional field. You already have a teaching diploma for vocational knowledge classes at vocational schools as a main or secondary occupation, are in training for it, or are willing to complete it. Teaching experience at the target or other training levels is desirable. You show enthusiasm for your profession, understand the needs of the learners, and are willing to further develop your own teaching. We are looking for an open, curious, and reliable reinforcement for our team. Experience with digital media and the willingness to work with a cross-location learning platform complete your profile. With appropriate qualifications, the workload can also exceed 50%.

The employment conditions are based on the Secondary School and Vocational School Teachers Ordinance of the Canton of Zurich. You will be supported in fulfilling your tasks by a well-coordinated team of committed teachers.
