Pastor for the Station Church

The Station Church at Zurich main station is unique in Switzerland and a place of calm and attention in the midst of the daily lives of many people. It is jointly supported by the Reformed and Catholic churches and is open to all.
 

Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the work at the Station Church. You conduct pastoral care conversations, write and design "Way Words" (short spiritual daily impulses), and are responsible for the room of silence. Furthermore, you supervise the volunteer staff and represent the ecumenical Station Church externally. You ensure its networking within the main station and in the entire church, social, and societal environment. The work is carried out according to a jointly created duty roster and also includes weekends. On-call duty for the institutions of special pastoral care is also part of your responsibilities.

You are an ordained pastor, have additional training in pastoral care (CAS AWS Unibe or equivalent), and have already gained professional experience. Foreign language skills are a prerequisite at this vibrant workplace, as is openness towards people in psychological and materially stressful situations. If you bring the willingness and ability to work in a team and enjoy ecumenical cooperation and interreligious dialogue, we look forward to your application.

If suitable and interested, there is the possibility to supplement the position with 20% and take over the leadership of the pastoral care area. This includes an interesting leadership role and collaboration at a strategic level within commissions and the department.
