Join us in a senior global role where you will shape ABB’s Group Insurance programs, optimize risk coverage, and support strategic initiatives across the company, including M&A activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your insurance knowhow in a complex, multinational environment.

Your Responsibilities

Group Insurance Programs

• Develop and manage ABB’s global insurance programs, with a focus on liabilities.

• Oversee the full placement cycle, including:

  • Insurance strategy setting for third‑party risks

  • Global data collection

  • Policy wording

  • Tender and placement

  • Premium allocation

  • Policy implementation

• Monitor insurer and broker performance.

• Manage major losses and claims recovery actions.

• Advise regional insurance teams and network brokers on Group program specifics.

• Analyze exposures and performance data with the Captive and Risk Financing Manager.

Contract Reviews

• Offer informed guidance on customer contracts, addressing indemnification clauses and insurance obligations.

• Support the Business and Cluster Insurance Managers on contractual insurance questions.

M&A

• Conduct insurance due diligence for acquisitions.

• Support divestment processes.

• Coordinate W&I / R&W insurance placement with M&A teams, legal advisors, and brokers.

General

• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Contribute to knowledge‑sharing and training initiatives.

Your Background

• 12+ years’ experience in multinational insurance programs (insurer, broker, or corporate role)

• Deep technical knowledge of liability insurance across Europe and the U.S

• Solid policy wording knowledge; legal or liability claims experience is an advantage

• Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate clearly to diverse stakeholders

• Knowledge of additional insurance lines is beneficial

• Self-motivated, strong team player and able to manage tasks without supervision

• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office

• Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are welcome
