You have a flair for numbers and can handle changes well? Our finance team is responsible for the accounting of the four business areas of WAS. The accounting is maintained on various systems for the federal government (SECO and BSV) as well as the delegated tasks from the canton, which ultimately leads to 18 annual financial statements. As a finance clerk, you take on diverse and responsible tasks of the WAS unemployment fund. Your daily tasks include accounts receivable management, cash transactions, and liquidity management. Your start date is negotiable.
- You manage the accounts receivable for claims of the unemployment fund.
- You monitor forfeiture deadlines and submit timely applications for exemption from the replacement obligation to the supervisory authority SECO.
- You take care of the daily posting of bank credits.
- You execute payment runs for the benefits of the unemployment fund in the specialist application ASAL.
- You are responsible for reconciliations between the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, identify discrepancies, and resolve them.
- You set up and manage financial processes for objections, remission, and exemption applications in ASAL.
- You assist in monitoring and ensuring the liquidity of the unemployment fund.
- You share responsibility for the monthly settlement of withholding tax on benefits of the unemployment fund.
- You have completed a commercial basic education.
- You have further training in accounting (e.g., accounting clerk) or are willing to complete such training.
- You bring professional experience in finance and accounting, especially in accounts receivable collection and debt enforcement.
- You master the various MS Office applications, especially Excel, and ideally have experience using SAP.
- You actively contribute, shape processes, and approach complex requirements with commitment and solution orientation.
- You are characterized by an independent, responsible, and structured way of working.
