The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is a specialist organization for addiction issues with areas of work in prevention + health promotion, counseling + therapy, and integration + businesses. Around 90 employees and about 260 volunteers at 13 locations implement the diverse offerings, which are financed by service contracts from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals.
The networking with the Swiss and International Blue Cross supports innovations and quality assurance. The Blue Cross is politically and confessionally independent.

Area of activity:
- Systemic and solution-oriented counseling for those affected by addiction and their relatives
- Individual, couple, and family counseling and group offerings
- Networking work with cooperation partners and referring institutions, awareness-raising and training
- If interested, suitable, and experienced, the topic “Children and adolescents from families affected by addiction” can be a focus:
- Conversations with children, adolescents, and families to assess and evaluate the everyday and developmental situation of the affected children and adolescents (also triage)
- Support for children and adolescents in counseling sessions
- Professional advice for professionals working with parents, families, individuals, and systems in the addiction field
Requirements profile:
- Training in social work or comparable training (psychology, social pedagogy, etc.)
- Additional training in counseling desired, professional experience in the addiction field desired
- Identification with our mission statement and the Christian-ethical core values
