- The SMIG is responsible for the application of the Foreigners and Integration Act and the Asylum Act. Within this framework, the SMIG is competent for organizing the return to the country of origin of foreign persons wishing or required to leave Swiss territory.
- As an advisor of the return assistance office, you lead and coordinate activities related to the voluntary return of persons under asylum or foreigners domain. While applying federal and cantonal directives, you represent the canton to the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and also ensure the organization of returns. You head the asylum sector and manage the team responsible for both summons and administrative follow-up, while ensuring the reliability of data in our management tool. Finally, you review cantonal transfer requests for persons holding N and F permits, evaluating individual situations and forwarding recommendations to the SEM.
- You have a solid social education, proven experience in supporting migrant populations, and real team management skills. Holder of a university degree in social sciences, psychology, or a HES diploma in social work, you have confirmed experience in support, ideally in a migratory or return assistance context. You combine mastery of common IT and management tools with excellent writing skills, accompanied by a real sense of synthesis. Proven skills in team management as well as inter-institutional coordination are a real asset. Finally, you demonstrate excellent skills in conducting individual interviews and developing action plans. Mastery of spoken and written French, as well as spoken English, is essential for this position.
