Certified nurse for diabetology consultation
To complete our team, we are looking for a certified nurse at a 70% activity rate, for an indefinite duration. Start date: December 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The diabetology consultation provides interdisciplinary, person-centered care. The diabetology team in our department consists of doctors, specialized clinical nurses, and dietitians, all specialized in the care of diabetic patients.
The working hours are during the day.
Mission
- You are responsible, within your own role, for identifying, planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care in the preventive, curative, palliative, and educational fields for the patients under your care, respecting professional standards and the rules in force within the institution
- You are responsible for performing delegated medical acts and, in this context, you can delegate acts dependent on your own role and ensure responsibility for them
- You actively participate in welcoming patients and their relatives, as well as in organizing work and ensuring the smooth running and continuity of the unit's activities (for example during evening or night shifts)
- You participate in supervising and evaluating students and interns and in integrating new employees
- You contribute to an interdisciplinary approach to care and teamwork.
Profile
- You hold a HES Nursing Diploma (or an equivalent title as judged, as well as the Swiss Red Cross Recognition for foreign-certified personnel, mandatory)
- You have experience in an acute care service
- You have experience in a diabetology service, desired
- You have completed the Diabetes Reference RDIAB training, mandatory
- You have training in Therapeutic Education, desired
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of contact, and team spirit
- You collaborate easily within an interprofessional team
- You have analytical and synthesis skills, a sense of responsibility, good adaptability, are autonomous, and have good organizational skills
- You master common computer tools
- You master spoken/written French (Level C1).
