We start our trainee program for future top talents each year on September 1st of the current calendar year. Come on board and become part of our "Trainee@SMO" community.

What is the trainee program about?

• As part of the two-year trainee program, you will get to know two of three railway technologies (signal boxes, control technology, train control) intensively and receive broad training
• You will be supervised by a mentor, regularly exchange ideas with other trainees, and actively participate in projects
• A multi-week, project-dependent assignment abroad is also part of the trainee program
• You can expect a diverse training spectrum (courses, on-the-job training, eLearnings, etc.) to build and deepen skills
• You will be prepared for demanding positions and take responsibility for your further career from the start

Your talents and skills

• Master's degree from a Swiss university in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical field of study
• Very good academic performance
• A proactive and flexible personality with a high willingness to learn and perform
• Joy and enthusiasm in developing ideas as a team and taking responsibility
• Strong communication skills in German and English
