Quality Engineer II
Job Summary
The Quality Engineer II at Jabil Switzerland Manufacturing GmbH will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with relevant quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures for manufacturing processes and products.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring design for quality and manufacturability.
- Perform statistical process control (SPC) analysis and utilize other quality tools to monitor and improve process performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and drive improvements.
- Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
- Generate and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, work instructions, and quality reports.
- Support supplier quality management activities, including supplier qualification and performance monitoring.
- Train production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to quality engineering.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and their practical application.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D problem-solving, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSGB) are a plus.
