Hey, we are Tela, a family-owned company. For over 50 years, we have been producing high-quality hygiene papers that are continuously adapted to the changing needs of people and markets thanks to state-of-the-art technology and constant innovation. Shift Leader Paper Production 100% in 4-shift operation (m/f)
Tasks
- Leadership with foresight: You take over the operational and disciplinary management of your shift team – including employee evaluations and development discussions. With your leadership style, you strengthen the personal responsibility, motivation, and further development of your employees.
- Production under control: You ensure a smooth and efficient production process in the areas of paper production, waste paper processing, and sludge incineration – across all plants. In case of disruptions, changes, or cleaning work, you quickly restore operational readiness and actively support the planning and implementation of downtimes.
- In the thick of things: This is not just an office job – you are close to the team and actively engage where necessary. You pitch in, take responsibility on the shop floor, and are present when it matters.
- Responsibility for processes: You actively contribute to continuous improvements to achieve our annual goals. In collaboration with the other shift leaders, you create the holiday and personnel planning, ensure seamless reporting, and control data maintenance in the system.
Profile
- Education & expertise: You have completed training as a paper technologist and ideally further training as an industrial master – or the willingness to complete this. Your broad expertise in paper production and your good technical understanding set you apart.
- Leadership experience & personality: You bring several years of experience in leading teams. With your high safety and quality awareness as well as your decisiveness, you convince in the shift routine. Your working style is independent, responsible, and goal-oriented.
- Digital competence: You are proficient in MS Office and work confidently with digital systems.
- Communication: You communicate fluently in German – clear, reliable, and on an equal footing.
- Shift readiness: You feel comfortable in shift work. We work in a rolling 7-day shift model, where you work seven days in the same shift – even on weekends and holidays. After that, you have two days off before switching to the next shift.
