The  Department of Women, Children and Adolescents  is tasked with providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and to the health problems faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 16. It works on the development of cutting-edge services and specialty competence centers.

The  Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service  (SPEA) is responsible for inpatient, day hospital, or outpatient care of children and adolescents suffering from mental disorders. It provides holistic psychological and child psychiatric care, considering the patient as a whole, including their family and social network. SPEA is a category A training center for postgraduate medical education.

The service occupies the new premises of the House of Childhood and Adolescence (MEA), which brings together all the service units in a particularly warm environment, specifically designed to improve the quality of care for the most vulnerable young patients.

Job Description

As part of your activities, you will work within the outpatient early childhood guidance.

Your mission consists of evaluating and managing language and communication in preschool-aged children. 

This also involves setting therapeutic goals and supporting parents in fostering their child's development.

You will be expected to offer individual and group speech therapy follow-ups.

Your work is carried out in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and the Geneva network.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in speech therapy and have clinical experience with very young children presenting communication and language disorders.

You also have experience working in a multidisciplinary team, as well as in individual and group parental support.

You master early communication assessment tools and have knowledge of specific tools for managing communication and language disorders (PECS, AAC, Cogi’Act…).

You have a good knowledge of the Geneva network.

You are an autonomous person with organizational skills and demonstrate great ease in writing.

For non-French-speaking candidates, a C1 level in spoken and written French on the Bulats test is required.
