Employee in the Inpatient Billing Unit
The CHUV is looking for an Employee in the inpatient billing unit at 80% - 100% for January 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon, to strengthen the Billing Unit, inpatient sector.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Patient Administrative Management Service (GAP), the operational billing unit handles all outpatient stays (TARMED) and inpatient stays (DRG) at CHUV.
Mission
- You use the information systems specific to the billing service with ease and rigor
- You issue invoices in accordance with SwissDRG rules as well as other applicable hospital tariffs
- You process letters and guarantees received from patients and/or other payers, ensuring careful and structured follow-up of files
- You manage invoice disputes from patients or various paying organizations
- You enter complex services
- You are able to manage a file independently and proactively
- You contact patients, internal services, and payers professionally, pleasantly, and autonomously.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification; a commercial professional maturity is an asset
- You have at least 3 years of confirmed experience in the commercial field
- You have very good mastery of hospital billing, recognized in the sector
- You know the different tariffs applicable to the inpatient sector; knowledge of TARMED is an additional asset
- You have good knowledge of English and German, both spoken and written
- You demonstrate good team spirit, are organized, rigorous, autonomous, and solution-oriented
- You are capable of managing complex files proactively and efficiently
- You show a strong interest in the hospital and healthcare field
- You quickly assimilate large amounts of information and handle files with discernment
- You are comfortable in communication, show interpersonal skills, and can easily adapt to changes.
