In the four-year vocational training as a Draftsperson EFZ specializing in Landscape Architecture, you are an important employee in the main department of Ecology and Open Space Planning. This department is significantly involved in the development, planning, and project management of Winterthur's open spaces, public green areas, nature and landscape protection sites, as well as school surroundings in Winterthur.

Your tasks are

Create plans, sketches, and models for construction projects

Create technical drawings by hand for sketches and plans as well as use computer-aided software, so-called CAD programs

Conduct site inspections and, if necessary, take measurements or surveys on site

Prepare basics to support landscape architectural designs, building submissions, and the digital management of park and green areas in professional GIS systems (Geographic Information Systems)

Create scale-accurate representations and 3-D views of construction projects

Manage manageable administrative tasks in the department and support colleagues

Your profile

Completed compulsory school at secondary level A is an advantage, or very good completion of secondary level B as well as good performance in mathematics, geometry, technical drawing, and computer science

Interest in public spaces, green planning, and landscape architecture, in the city as well as in nature and plants

Enjoyment of construction and horticultural technology as well as technical drawing on the computer

Good spatial imagination and precise, highly motivated, and focused working style

Open, communicative, and team-oriented person
