About the job
To complement the night watch team, we are looking for a night watch starting June 1st or by arrangement for 4-6 nights per month each
Task:
- You accompany 11 residents distributed across 3 residential groups from 8:45 p.m. – 7:45 a.m. The residents are aged 26 – 61 years.
- Two residents are additionally affected by epilepsy, both are very well controlled with medication. One resident requires an incontinence change at night, another resident only in the early morning hours.
- In addition, the night watch is also responsible for the laundry of the 11 residents – so they also spend time in the laundry room or do simple mending work on quiet nights.
We offer:
- The night watch team consists of 4 women. They wish for a complement who can work flexibly on different weekdays and weekends.
- The night watch team is very experienced. The cooperation with the day service during the HANDOVER in the morning and evening is always brief but very appreciative. The night team meets once a month for a planning meeting and exchange of experiences. Usually, the duty rosters are made 2-3 months in advance.
We are looking for:
- We are looking for a night watch who can offer situational support at night with a clear and calm presence. Someone who can accompany people who sometimes seek very unusual ways to get rid of stress and fear.
- And it must be a night watch who, although working alone at night, recognizes themselves as part of a night watch team and implements existing decisions and uniform regulations. And they must also bring a pragmatic side that can appreciate the positive aspects of simple work like laundry. There will be quiet nights and demanding ones.
If this fits, the night watch could be a good foothold for someone who wants to build a second professional existence with us. Other night watches in the team have also chosen this combination.
Requirements:
- A specific professional qualification is not required
- Experience in caring for, accompanying, or nursing people with disabilities or experience as a mother/father is highly desired
- Willingness for irregular shifts including weekends and holidays
