As a Construction Manager, you will lead projects from design to handover ? defining plans, setting safety standards, and coordinating trades to deliver on time and to the highest quality. Working with EHS, project managers, and technical experts, you'll ensure every build is safe, compliant, and built to last.
The Construction Manager will be in charge of:
- Contribute to detailed design reviews and provide input on execution planning.
- Prepare the construction site setup in coordination with SMEs and subcontractors (space planning, flows, utilities, access).
- Ensure reception and tracking of all legal and required documentation; set up site displays and monitoring tools.
- Lead daily construction execution according to the project schedule, identifying and addressing any potential deviations.
- Monitor site progress (progress reports, spot checks, work log approvals) and ensure 'base de vie' requirements are met.
- Maintain proactive communication with SMEs, Engineering Lead, and project stakeholders; report delays, risks, and progress.
- Coordinate all trades to ensure smooth coactivity, supporting the Health & Safety Coordinator and participating in risk analyses (JRA, LOTO, etc.).
- Ensure contractor compliance with site regulations, HSE standards, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Conduct weekly site audits, general inspections of tools and equipment, and enforce corrective actions when required.
- Participate in project close-out activities and contribute feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifikationen
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, civil / mechanical / industrial engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in construction management, ideally in pharma, chemical, or biotech production environments.
- Strong technical expertise in building, HVAC, piping, CAD, and electrical/instrumentation systems.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects in parallel.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and accountable mindset.
- Pragmatic problem-solver, able to act independently and take initiative.
- Committed and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, regulated environments.
- Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
