Your tasks
You will complete your apprenticeship in the Church District One of the Reformed Church of Zurich. Our trainers have a lot of experience and know-how and support you individually on your way to a successful apprenticeship completion. As a facility maintenance specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that all facilities in and around buildings function properly. You can also expect a wide range of work in cleaning, grounds maintenance, and mechanical tasks.
Facility maintenance specialists in building services monitor and maintain the building's technical systems. They replace window seals, change lamps, door locks, and fuses, check heating and electrical installations, or fix dripping taps. They carry out minor repairs themselves and call in specialists for more complicated cases. If necessary, they also take on simpler masonry, painting, and carpentry work, for example, repairing furniture or painting fences.
