The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is a professional organization for addiction issues with the areas of work prevention + health promotion, counseling + therapy as well as integration + businesses. Around 90 employees and about 260 volunteers at 13 locations implement the diverse offers, which are co-financed by service contracts from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals.
The networking with the Swiss and International Blue Cross supports innovations and quality assurance. The Blue Cross is politically and denominationally independent.
Our new Bistro kostbar in the Blaukreuz-Brocki in Thun is an alcohol-free restaurant with 35 indoor and 15 outdoor seats, which functions as a social meeting point and offers places for social and professional integration. We are looking for a
Restaurant Specialist
Workload 40% - 60%
Area of activity
- Guest service, cash collection, preparing daily accounts
- Setting and decorating tables, preparing the bar, making simple snacks and hot drinks
- Implementation and further development of the hygiene concept (HACCP)
- Participate in orders, goods receipt and storage, work closely with the kitchen team and Blaukreuz-Brocki team
- Guide and support employees in integration programs in everyday service and at events/caterings
Requirements profile
- Training as a restaurant specialist EFZ or several years of service experience
- Very good oral German skills
- Enjoyment in guest contact, service-oriented, polite manners, resilient
- Hygiene awareness, clean working method, secure cash/register routine
- Teamwork skills and clear, appreciative communication
- Identification with our mission statement and interest in addiction and integration topics
