Ventilation Technician at the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety

The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety of the CHUV is looking for a ventilation technician for its heating-ventilation-air conditioning workshop with an activity rate between 80% and 100%, for an indefinite duration.

Context

The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and training.

The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety of the CHUV (CIT-S) has as its main activities the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting, within its vast real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.

The 3 main missions of the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S):

• Construction and modernization: ensure the study and realization of architectural projects, as well as the renovation of technical installations.
• Operation: ensure the maintenance of all technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the infrastructures of the CHUV and its affiliates. Guarantee the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for all medical, research, technical, and administrative activities.
• Protection and safety: ensure the protection of property and people.

Mission

• You ensure the operation and corrective maintenance of infrastructures and technical equipment of medium complexity and criticality, versatility, and partial autonomy in your field of expertise
• You ensure the preventive and improvement maintenance of ventilation technical installations including controlled environment zones
• You ensure the follow-up of technical projects of low complexity such as the renovation of ventilation installations
• You keep up with technological developments in your area of expertise and perform administrative tasks related to your function
• You participate in the on-call and standby service of the workshop.

Profile

• You hold a technical building CFC (or an equivalent recognized title)
• You have initial experience in the maintenance of ventilation technical installations
• You know how to use common computer tools
• You have a good knowledge of the French language, spoken and written (minimum certified B2)
• Your place of residence is within 45 minutes of the workplace (required due to on-call and standby services)
• You hold a category B driving license.
