HEAD OF PRODUCTION STEELWORKS (m/f/d)

Stahl Gerlafingen AG is a significant company within the AFV BELTRAME GROUP, which is the European market leader in the production of reinforcing steel.

About 450 employees produce reinforcing steel from scrap steel in Gerlafingen. Stahl Gerlafingen AG is the largest recycling company in Switzerland. The sales markets for the products are in Switzerland and the European Union.

Tasks/Responsibilities

What awaits you:

• Leading the entire production and the masonry/magazine area
• Ensuring the required production while complying with cost, quality, environmental, and safety requirements
• Developing optimized processes in production, logistics, and refractory management
• Personnel planning, selection, onboarding, development, leadership, and release
• Analysis and control of production key figures regarding productivity, consumption, and costs
• Analysis, planning, and implementation of improvement actions in all areas

Skills

• Completed studies in iron metallurgy, metallurgy, or materials science
• Several years of professional experience in the steel industry
• Leadership experience
• Knowledge and ongoing updating of modern steel production methods in the electric arc furnace
• Good knowledge of MS Office, SAP/FI CO knowledge is an advantage
• Good English skills, Italian is an advantage
