Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Manage stock and food orders for their service
- Comply with current hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Manage work organization within their section
- Ensure consistency in the preparation of all dishes, whether for the menu or the Sushi Bar, respecting Nobu recipes and standards
- Continuously strive to improve the preparation and presentation of dishes
- Communicate daily with the Food & Beverage Management to understand customer feedback
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- French language required. Basic English desired
- CAP or BEP required, 2 years of experience necessary
- Good presentation, neat and conscientious
- Training desired with a Master Sushi Chef
- Previous experience in a Nobu restaurant or a Japanese restaurant is desired
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Japanese meats, seafood, and other food products
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to focus on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the work period
- Ability to lift and carry loads over 10 kg
- Flexibility and availability in working hours
- Particularly responsible and reliable
