Purpose:

The job purpose of a Finance Specialist is to provide crucial support in the evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and relationships with reinsurers. They play a key role in ensuring compliance with company policies, efficient claim settlement, and effective communication and collaboration with reinsurers. Additionally, they contribute to the generation of insightful reinsurance reports and analysis to support informed decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines.
  • Support development and maintenance of relationships with stakeholders.
  • Aid in the processing and settlement amounts due, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in generating reports and conducting insightful analysis to support decision-making.
  • Actively identify areas for process improvement, inefficiencies, drive the continuous process improvement and standardization,
  • Join relevant training sessions to maintain good knowledge of the system, processes and changes.
  • Keep procedures/training guides up to date for own role & processes in collaboration with direct stakeholders

Candidate’s profile:

  • At least 2 years of finance and accounting experience (Intercompany or mix of reconciliation/AP/AR or GL)
  • Academic degree preferably in Finance and Accounting, Audit, Economy or other with relevant supporting accounting trainings
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables etc.) and financial system (SAP as preferred)
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable in working with all levels of grade and authority
  • English skills – fluent written and spoken (C1 level)
  • This position will be dedicated for the American customer, which will require adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
