The Sustainability Department in State Street Bank International (SSBI) GmbH is looking for a Sustainability Intern (m/f/d)  with immediate effect.

Your Job

  • Support the team in implementation of a sustainability strategy inline with regulatory and industry expectations
  • Support the team with the governance structure rollout and integration across SSBI, including support the prepareation of Sustainability Committee material preparation and presentations at committees
  • Support the team in various tasks as required, including but not limited to, adhoc completion of client sustainability related questionnaires, client queries and related deliverables  for the New Products Process
  • Assist in performing regulatory and control oversight by tracking remediation and system maintenance as well as keeping an eye on the sustainability regulatory horizon
  • Suppport in further developing qualitative and quantitative monitoring and reporting (including KPIs) of sustainability  and support the creation of materials for senior management and board meetings as well as various committees
  • Independently perform ESG-related research based on trends and developments in the industry, regulatory changes as well as products

Your Profile

  • A can do attitude and strong attention to detail with a mindset for strong critical thinking and demonstrated ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Ability to multitask and to timely deliver on deadlines
  • Motivation and drive to support in the development of a sustainability strategy, policy and framework rollout across the firm
  • Be a team player who is genuinely passionate about creating an impact in the sustainability space
  • Experience or deep interest in sustainability or a related field such as (climate) risk management, sustainable finance or a control function
  • Passion for regulatory developments and challenging the status quo
