Head of Legal & Compliance
Mirabaud Asset Management
Based in our Headquarters in Geneva, the Head Legal & Compliance is responsible for the management of the legal and compliance team, across all Mirabaud Asset Management (MAM) locations. He is responsible for advising the business on legal, compliance and regulatory risks, provide advice on new products and new business initiatives, individual transactions, supervisory and governance structures with a focus on fund products, investments, transactions, regulatory developments and business strategy projects. He is also the main point of contact with the Swiss regulator FINMA. Responsibilities also include overseeing and managing all legal and compliance aspects of asset management, including the drafting and negotiation of agreements under local and common law jurisdictions as well as following applicable regulatory regimes across all MAM Locations. Additionally, the role demands a keen understanding of the evolving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) landscape, with a particular focus on the Sustainable Finance
Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), and the ability to integrate these considerations into the firm's compliance framework.
A day in your future job:
Lead and manage the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring demands are appropriately allocated across team members and a first-class service is delivered to clients, prospects, and partners.
Define the department strategy.
Structure and appropriately resource the team to meet the evolving demands of the business.
Development and maintenance of the culture of the team, in alignment with the wider culture of
Mirabaud.
Whenever relevant, develop and measure objectives and KPI's.
Review, drafting and negotiation of contracts;
Provide legal advice to management and staff;
Regulatory monitoring and follow-up on impacts of any relevant new regulations, ensuring that MAM meets all regulatory requirements;
Drafting and implementation of internal guidelines and procedures;
Control and monitoring of the application of internal procedures;
Being involved or lead ad-hoc regulatory projects;
Monitoring of regulatory obligations related to investment funds;
Ensuring the implementation of the compliance monitoring plan;
Ensuring required regulatory notifications are made in a timely manner;
Being the main point of contact for communications with FINMA;
Manage regulatory examinations, audits (internal and external), and investigations, ensuring timely and effective responses.
Liaising with external auditors regarding regulatory audits;
Coordinate and report to the compliance and legal functions at group level.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of legal and compliance requirements across the firm.

Your assets to succeed:
Master in law and lawyer qualification
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the asset management industry or in a law firm with an asset management focus in an international environment
Experience in Swiss and european laws as well as in common law jurisdictions
Strong knowledge of the scope and concept of the current legal and regulatory developments concerning the asset management industry
Strong and proven managerial skills, preferably including experience in managing across different locations
Strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving ability as well as excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Hands-on approach
Strong communication skills and ability to synthetize messages
Ability to work under pressure and to determine priorities
Languages: fluent French and English. German, Italian and Spanish is an asset.
