Job description:

We are looking for a motivated and flexible teacher for young learners (ages 3-12) with profound knowledge of English to strengthen our great English pole team. Excellent pedagogical skills, willingness to collaborate in an open and positive spirit, ability to be patient, firm and benevolent are key values.

Four mornings all academic year (no Wednesday) /plus a semester of Arts the afternoon till jannuary 2025 (maternity leave).

Salary schedule based on years of experience and education.

Major Responsibilities

  • Study, practice, and execute lessons that lead students to master daily standard-aligned objectives, faithfully using our rigorous, classical curriculum.
  • Deliver instruction, through the use of curriculum materials and educational software
  • Integrate school defined goals and objectives into lesson plans.
  • Develop daily lesson plans and classroom schedule that reflects state and school requirements
  • Plan one (1) or more curriculum days in order to dig deeper into subjects and ideas within the curriculum.
  • Work with grade level team to ensure consistency among the grade.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
  • Commit to growing professionally and personally through continuous learning.
  • Assign, correct and grade homework assignments, classroom work, tests and quizzes.
  • Evaluate each student’s progress on a regular basis and communicate this progress to the student, parents, and Direction.
  • Issue quarterly progress reports and semester report cards.
  • Implement standards for student behavior in order to ensure a safe, secure and effective learning environment by providing a high degree of structure, clear expectations and consistency
  • Respond expediently to parent, student, or volunteer concerns and ideas.
  • Establish and maintain a highly ordered classroom culture where scholars and staff demonstrate respect, responsibility, caring, trustworthiness, fairness, and citizenship.
  • Cultivate fundamental habits of virtue consistent with the grammar school’s outlined mission and purpose.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

English mother tongue

Education Required

Bachelors or upper diplomas

Valid teacher's license and/or appropriate credential with ESL Endorsement.

Real activity in teaching Arts

Knowledge of relevant technology

Ability to work in team

Experience:

Teaching experience is mandatory.
