Back-End Engineer

Traditionally, the employee insurance industry and its processes have been cumbersome. Administrative headaches for HR managers, payroll managers, employees, doctors and claims managers, were the norm. Recognising the need for change, grape aims to revolutionize the traditional employee insurance model.

Your role

  • Design and implement backend features for our web-based product in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team
  • Build integrations with our customers' systems.
  • Shape the technical architecture and DevOps of our grape
  • Optionfor occasional work onfrontend, if desired.
  • You have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • You have great communication skills and are passionate about helping team members, you appreciate and apply best engineering practices.
  • You have >3 years of relevant experience working on fast-scaling SaaS products
  • You have experience in building backend TypeScript and Node.js applications
  • You have experience in building GraphQL or REST APIs
  • You have worked with Relational Databases before
  • You have experience in integrating APIs from third-party providers
  • You have experience with continuous integration, unit- and integration testing
  • You write clean, secure, tested, and documented code
  • Remote-friendly setup, you can work from home or the office. However, we love spending time together in our beautiful office in Basel, or in Zürich.
