Back-End Developer (Java)

To reinforce our team of Comfone’s DMS service (Big Data) in Bern we are seeking a

Your responsibilities

Responsible for the development of Data Management Services (Big Data) products
Responsible for full life-cycle application development including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance
Implement high quality, reusable and well tested software solutions (backend)
Collaborate in a friendly, open and agile environment

Your ideal profile

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or a completed apprenticeship in computer science with a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence.

Professional Experience: At least 3-7 years of professional experience in Java programming or a similar language.

Technical Expertise:

Solid knowledge of Spring Boot
Proven experience in development with relational databases (such as Oracle or MS SQL)
Experience in containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
Proficiency with testing tools like JUnit or Mockito
Experience with source control management systems (Git, Mercurial, SVN) and build tools (Ant, Maven)
Familiarity with Big Data technologies, especially MongoDB, is advantageous

Teamwork Skills: Ability to work efficiently in an international team environment.

Language Proficiency: Good command of English, both written and verbal. Additional languages are beneficial.
